Wikileaks which will go live within a couple of months is going to be a community based website like wikipedia and based on the same script. Its primary aim is going to be mass document leaking and analysis. What it means is that anyone from any part of the world can submit documents online for others to analyze it and write their comments and opinions. It is going to be a truely global forum where people can post, check and comment on the credibility, plausibility or falsehood of any document. Wikileaks claims that it will "open leaked documents up to a much more exacting scrutiny than any media organization or intelligence agency could provide". They have put up a sample page on their website. On their faq they promise complete anonymity and untraceability for the poster. They will use advanced cryptographic technologies but at the same time keep the interface to the end user as simple as wikipedia. Will this help in improving the corruption state in many countries? Will this expose the various corrupt governments and their unethical acts? Time will answer the question of the effectiveness of this website. However hopes are high as according to wikileaks it has already received 1.2 million documents so far even before it goes live!
